Mission Statement

We are a people who tell stories in one form or another.
After all isn't blogging just another way to gather around and tell those stories?

Motherhood is Painless is about finding the humor in the every day. In finding the happiness in those stories that we tell. What would happen if we *all* learned to laugh at ourselves? Maybe then the dark corners would recede a bit and we would all rejoice at the love we find there.

Day 6

Now that Hallowe'en is over, the kids are already starting to think about the winter - how they will go sledding in the snow, and how and where we will celebrate the winter holidays.

Today we took a first step - and purged a heap-ton of old toys. Broken? Missing pieces? Too babyish? GONE GONE GONE.

I have an large cardboard box, a large IKEA bag and a smaller box cleared out. That was the first pass. I didn't touch stuffed animals, or the weird bin of crap next to Ben's bed.

Still lots to go - since it doesn't look like I've made a dent.
