Adventures at the CSA

We live in a neighborhood with a fantastic CSA. Unfortunately, we were not able to get a subscription to it this year because we were too slow, so I promised myself the first chance I got, I would take advantage. Well that was this week, as someone on our local parents board was selling their share for the week.

Very nicely organized. Everyone's share is already boxed for you, you just need to bring your own totes to get everything home.

Really good selection this week:
  • green beans
  • chives
  • tomato (just one, but mammoth sized)
  • 3 green peppers of some kind
  • bunch of carrots
  • bunch of purslane, which is some sort of succulent, leafy green thing.
  • a couple of pounds of red-skinned potatoes
The share we bought also included a fruit share:
  • bag of nectarines
  • bag of peaches
Now all I have to do is figure out what kind of peppers they are, and what one does with the purslane.

Any suggestions?
