After

My husband is usually referred to in blogland as Kayakboy. (By default, this makes me Kayakgirl and Claire, Kayakbaby.)

Let it be known that I only kayak when it is hot outside, and even then, there has to be a destination involved. Kayakboy, OTOH, has been known to kayak in the rain and snow. Or at least he used to. Not sure anymore. But his venture yesterday was good for him and I predict he will be making it a part of his routine. (BTW I dubbed him kayakboy to keep him anonymous and because in our circle of kayaking friends, he's the young'un.)

While he was messing around with the boats, Claire and I went to the dog park with Dalia and Milo and had a lovely time. She liked looking at the dogs, I think. Then Kayakboy came and met us, we had a late brunch and bought many baked things at the Two Red Hens bakery. Red velvet cupcakes, chocolate mousse tart, pecan pie, and something called Peanut Butter Wonder. Two PB cookies with a good lunk of PB frosting between them. Like a whoopie pie, I guess.

This morning, Kayakboy proved his further lunacy by waking up at 4am (!!!) to help run the http://www.nymayorscup.com/index.html

He was at the site by 5am, registered the racers and is hanging out watching the festivities. We will be going to meet him soon.

I never did make it to the greenmarket. I did stop at a cute green grocer and bought the veg I needed. Cauliflower.
